thanks a lot for developing ttrss! Happily bought the Android App.
My question: Is there any setting to not show the icons/bubbles on the left side in compact mode (see attached screenshot)? Would be awesome to have a mode that maximizes information/text on screen without any nice visuals.

not possible and before you ask i’m not going to add an option for this
you can always update the layout xml and rebuild the app in android studio, although you won’t be able to select anything without that circle thing (which doubles as a checkbox)

Makes sense to keep it for it’s secondary function - is replacing it with a plain checkbox (the one used in standard view) easier? (a) Would be more intuitive to use an actual checkbox as checkbox (b) the compact layout would live up to its name =)

i think it’s compact enough, the underlying idea has never been about cramming as much as possible on screen
