I wonder if people use it. Would they be sad if it’s gone. It strikes me as a bit redundant with normal (i.e. always expanded) combined mode and 3 panel mode. Comments?
I use this as my primary mode of viewing. I find it allows me to scan lots more headlines more quickly
If that’s what you get with “Automatically expand articles in combined mode” off, but “Display expanded list of feed articles, instead of separate displays for headlines and article content” on, then yes, it’s what I’ve always been using. I would miss it.

When I’m not mobile I use combined mode without expanded articles. As others have mentioned, I find it easier to quickly scan the articles.
It’s my standard use mode. Ad said by others, it allows me to quickly browser headlines and choose key posts.
Please do not remove.
'fraid I use it as well. However, were it to go I would not whine, just get use to something different…
