Precision: I voted for Synology, but I did not used the package manager for this. It is a bare metal install on a Synology host (so, the LAMP is managed via the synology DSM exploitation system)

Is someone else’s container under k8s with containerd still “docker”? It’s even got a helm chart by yet another group

I run under Docker on my Synology NAS.

oops, voted for docker in a vm, but actually using bare metal docker.

unrelated but say hello to the new hypervisor this site is running under:

I’m running in docker on a cheapo VPS. For anyone looking for recommendations I’ve found (redacted) to be pretty good, but I mostly chose them because they have locations close to me so good ping times

let’s not post ads here.

Sorry about that, didn’t mean to spam.

Just generally though I’d say it’s a much better experience to get a server physically closer to where you usually are. Obvious, but, yeah.

I’m using a systemd portable service (which is similar to a container, but a bit more production ready in that environement). The portable service image (similar to a container image but actually just a squashfs FS tree) is built with nixos.

This is the code I’ve written for building the image

“pff those containers everyone is talking about? not really production ready, in my opinion. now, let’s talk about this script i made and put on github”

fucking lmao

“oh and it’s built on top of this niche distro literally nobody is using in actual production”
